Prepared paddlers rarely face serious trouble on the water because they have taken the time to research and practice with their equipment, plan their trip, practice skills, and rehearse what to do in distress situations

Vic demonstrating some Traditional Skills.

Side scull. Side scull with single blade. Crook of the arm roll.

Whether you're wondering what the kayaking craze is all about, working on a new roll, or want to paddle more efficiently with less chance of injury, instruction can shave an amazing amount of time from the learning curve. Paddlers that don't practice don't improve their skills. Join me on the water for a course that will fit your needs and help improve your skills and efficiency on the water.

Available courses range from "Introduction to Kayaking", "Navigation" and "Tidal Currents" to "Traditional Skills" and "Rolling skills". (All courses with their descriptions and additional info listed under COURSES, available course dates listed under CALENDAR)

Courses are taught by Victor Sorensen, an American Canoe Association (ACA) Coastal and Traditional Skills Sea Kayaking Instructor, who loves sharing what he's learned using teaching methods learned through the ACA programs and his passion for the sport.

Now offering Introduction to Kayaking Courses with the Williamsburg Recreation Department at Waller Mill Park,  check the calendar on this website for details.

See you on the water!
